The low gain amps for slightly broken up sounds you might find are quite excellent on the Positive Grid stuff. Bias is a lot more fun to play around with building out rigs, since it's more visually intuitive. The stock sounds need more playing with the mics to get right. Positive Grid amps seem to have less fizz. Amplitube by default includes a room mic and simulates the recording in a space as well as directly on the cabinet. Just download demos of them both, read the. I couldn’t find that information for Amplitube but it says it’s 64-bits so it’s probably not. Amplitubes Orange models sound closer to a real Orange IMHO. I own several Orange amps and have A/Bd them against Amplitube, Helix, Guitar Rig & ReValvers 'Orange' models. Its comparable to the BIAS & Helix Native but offers much fewer options. Exactly my point but with the Orange models. Kuassa sound much better but is limited in options. Imo Neural DSP and STL are WAAAAAYYYYY better. It may work but if it doesn’t you can’t complain. Amplitube 5 is better than 4 in that the IRs sound great. The uBias website /u has a list of supported/compatible hosts applications and Audacity is NOT on the list. Ive used Guitar Rig and Overloud but havent used Amplitube. First, you need to download the trials to see if they even work in Audacity. I prefer BIAS FX + BIAS Amp, because I like to tweak things under the hood. Guitar Rig tones tend to sound thinner and buzzier than the other two and lack dimension. Amplitube has official amps, effects and cabs that have been developed with and approved by the manufacturer and sounds wicked. Amplitube and Guitar Rig stuff is no exception. Of course in a Live setting I can't look after the volume of each patch all the time you know. Amp sims tend to have a lot more fizz than real amps. Leave your comments below if you want to watch. If I set volume lower form the output section in the app or form the ipad, sometimes feedback stops, but often I have to set the volume too low and then I can't ear anymore. Watch a comparative review of stock presets of three guitar-plugins: BIAS AMP 2, Guitar Rig 5 and Revalver 4. Seems like some pedals, somehow induct the patch to feedback The feedback comes forward from the most of the factory presets as well, regardless the gain/master settings on the amp or if the amp sound is Clean or High Gain. Once I Plug iRig2 into the ipad, the ipad's mic itself is disabled taking the input signal only from iRig. Jammin’ with IK Amplitube 4 VS Positive Grid BIAS FX2 Lead tone, for humbucker for this weeks Versus Jam Series.Trying to find a similar tone for both plugi. I've found that this issue comes forward only when I enable the app to access to the ipad's mic (which obviously the only way I can prorperly use this app) and there's something plugged in (any headphones, iRig, Guitar). Guitar -> Cable -> iRig2 -> iPad (pro) and headphones There's just a real annoying issue that I'm having with Bias FX: feedback A LOT of feedback which makes this app pretty unusable. I've just bought Bias FX and Bias Amp for iPad and I think they sound pretty good at the point that I would use them live buying the remote controller as well.
